Graeme Muir
Executive Director
Graeme started his career in 1993 as a lawyer with the international law firm Norton Rose Fulbright, working in London (1993-6), Hong Kong (1996-8 and 2001-3) and Dubai (2003-9), where he was Managing Partner of the Middle East. He is both an England & Wales and Hong Kong qualified solicitor. During his career in private practice, Graeme worked on a wide variety of corporate finance transactions, including IPOs in several jurisdictions (including London, Hong Kong, New York and Kuala Lumpur), Rights Issues, Private Placements and Cross Border M&A / MBO’s
Graeme also has over 25 years of experience in private equity, including working for Nomura International in London for 3 years between 1998 to 2001, where he formed part of a private equity team that invested in technology companies, mainly in California. During this time, Graeme became a director of several Silicon Valley start-up companies, having a hands-on role in their development.
Daniel Monks
Executive Director
Daniel has over 18 years of professional experience in the fund management industry. He began his investments career at Canada Life, where he progressed to become the lead manager of its £1.5bn UK Equity fund. He focused on investments within the natural resources and mining sectors, building in depth valuation models and analytical reports which helped him to make buy and sell decisions for the portfolio. His background is predominantly in fundamental equity analysis as well as quantitative strategies and trading. He went on to co-found a successful market neutral hedge fund, investing in quantitative trading strategies and equity arbitrage. Daniel brings with him a wealth of experience within equity markets and company valuation models. Daniel studied Mathematics and Economics at the University of York where he obtained a first class BSc degree. He also holds an Investment Management Certificate and is a CFA Charterholder.
